This describes the conclusion of landmine clearance training conducted in Cambodia using ALIS.
On August 11, 2025, a training session on the use of the ALIS liquid crystal mine detection equipment was held at the Siem Reap Province CMAC headquarters for 13 trainees from the Lao National Bomb Clearance Unit. The training session is supported by the Japanese government through the JICA project and implemented by JICS. It can be viewed on CMAC Director Heng RATANA’s Facebook page.
On August 11, 2025, a training course on the use of the ALIS detection system was provided for 13 bomb disposal experts at CMAC in Siem Reap. (Supported by the Japanese government through JICA and implemented by JICS as a project)

the Kingdom of Cambodia is a member of AP Landmines Ottawa conventions and this Kingdom is one of the most active members of implementing the convention since before and after full flag as the member of the state party since 2000. The Kingdom has reported that 4-6 million anti personnel landmines were used by all fighting factions. So far around 1.2 million landmines were found and destroyed. Most areas cleared were located in side the country to serve human security and social economic development activities. All kind of landmines and unexploded ordinances as the remnants of war found and destroyed were over 4.46 millions.
