The 5th Review Conference of the Convention on the Ban of Anti-Personnel Landmines was held in Siem Reap,Cambodia
On November 24, the Parliamentary Secretary delivered a speech at an event co-hosted with CMAC at the Mine Action Peace Museum.
- Japanese government support to Cambodia in the field of mine action
- “Triangular cooperation” such as capacity building assistance that both countries are providing to Ukraine, Colombia, African countries, etc. in the international community based on their experience and knowledge
- Technology of Japanese companies such as ALISys and activities by JMAS.
On the 26th, Japanese companies (NEC, ALISys, IOS) and CMAC co-hosted a side event to introduce Japanese technologies in mine countermeasures, such as a mine burial location prediction system using artificial intelligence (AI), mine detectors, and demining robots.
