2025/3 2025/3 ALIS training conducted in Ukraine

As part of JICA’s humanitarian mine and unexploded ordnance countermeasures, ALISys CEO Sato headed to Ukraine for training in the detection, identification, and removal of mines and explosives using the mine detector ALIS. In the area, the Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine (SESU) is detecting, identifying, and removing mines and explosives to protect people’s safety amid ongoing Russian attacks. The use of the mine detector ALIS is being introduced on the Emergency Situations Service of SESU’s Facebook page.

2024/8/28 Japanese Ambassador Visits Cambodia to Inspect Mine Clearance Activities (ALIS)

According to the Facebook page of the Director of CMAC (Cambodia Mine Action Center), the Japanese Ambassador visited Cambodia to inspect the demining activities of the ALIS landmine detector.                                      “On August 28, 2024, we received Ambassador Ueno, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, to inspect the minefield demining activities in Chamrong Lomeang Krom Village, Osamrir Commune, Samlot District, Battambang Province.”

At CMAC headquarters in Phnom Penh, the latest technological advances combining ALIS with GPR scanning systems, image analysis, and subsurface data were discussed. since 2006, the ALIS demining machine’s scanning and image/data analysis is faster, more accurate, and ALIS is also being used by CMAC experts to train Ukrainian trainees in 2023.
