2025/9/10 Explosive Ordnance Countermeasures Training Using ALIS at CMAC, Cambodia

a mine action technology demonstration was held at the CMAC Training Center in Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia. Approximately 25 explosive ordnance control personnel from global mine action programs participated. Various technologies and methods were demonstrated. A look at the annual workshop held in Oslo between the Norwegian People’s Aid Agency (NPA) Steering Committee and 25 NPA staff from around the world, including Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Norway, Palau, Palestine, Syria, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Yemen, and Zimbabwe, and the Cambodian CMAC unit.

2025/8/11 CMAC, in cooperation with JICA and JICS, conducted a landmine clearance training session for Laos’ bomb disposal unit.

On August 11, 2025, a training session on the use of the ALIS liquid crystal mine detection equipment was held at the Siem Reap Province CMAC headquarters for 13 trainees from the Lao National Bomb Clearance Unit. The training session is supported by the Japanese government through the JICA project and implemented by JICS. It can be viewed on CMAC Director Heng RATANA’s Facebook page.

On August 11, 2025, a training course on the use of the ALIS detection system was provided for 13 bomb disposal experts at CMAC in Siem Reap. (Supported by the Japanese government through JICA and implemented by JICS as a project)
